What a dream to work with Hucklebeads on a short film for CBC Creator Network! This short film is a reflection on identity and creativity, carried along by Sara’s bright, contagious energy that comes through the screen and grabs you right in the heart. Sara’s story is also an uplifting look at what it means to reconnect with and celebrate who you are.Filmed and edited by myself and Mary Paquet.
Swallow Tail Culinary Adventures
Currently creating an exciting short film about a Vancouver chef inspired by her home. Chef Robin Kurt forages in Vancouver in pursuit of yummy food, connection to place, and to her community. Below is a teaser for the short film currently in production.Filmed by myself and Matthieu Garnier and edited by myself.
Herring Spawn Restoration
Small snippet of an ongoing project currently in post-production.Beneath the surface of False Creek and Coal Harbour, a quiet revival is taking shape. This short film follows the Squamish and West Vancouver Streamkeepers and the Tsleil-Waututh Nation as they come together to lower submerged spawning panels into the water, giving Pacific herring a place to lay their eggs.In the Salish Sea, herring populations are slipping away. This is the story of the people working to bring them back, proving that even in the heart of a city, nature can be given room to return.Filmed and edited by myself and Mary Paquet.
